Warranty & Service Coverage Policy

This Warranty & Service Coverage Policy (“Policy”) outlines the warranty terms and service coverage provided by ReconX Pro (“ReconX,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) for security systems, equipment, and installations performed by our company.

By engaging ReconX Pro’s services, you acknowledge and agree to the terms described below.

1. Manufacturer Warranties

All security equipment, including cameras, access control devices, recording systems, and related hardware, is covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty, subject to the manufacturer’s terms, conditions, and limitations.

ReconX Pro:

  • Does not modify or extend manufacturer warranties beyond their stated terms

  • Will assist clients with manufacturer warranty claims when applicable

  • Is not responsible for manufacturer decisions regarding repair or replacement

Manufacturer warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, environmental conditions, power issues, third-party equipment, or unauthorized modifications.

2. ReconX Pro Installation Warranty

ReconX Pro provides a personal installation warranty covering workmanship related specifically to installations performed by ReconX Pro.

This installation warranty applies only to systems installed by ReconX Pro and covers defects or issues directly resulting from our installation work.

3. Warranty Coverage for Clients on Monthly Monitoring Plans

Clients who opt into and maintain an active monthly monitoring plan with ReconX Pro receive enhanced service coverage, subject to the following conditions:

  • ReconX Pro’s installation warranty remains active for as long as the monthly monitoring plan is active and in good standing

  • During this period, ReconX Pro will repair or replace defective or failed equipment related to the installation at no additional cost, subject to reasonable assessment

  • Coverage applies only to equipment installed and maintained by ReconX Pro

This extended warranty does not apply if the monitoring plan is canceled, suspended, or becomes delinquent.

4. Warranty Coverage Without a Monthly Monitoring Plan

Clients who do not opt into a monthly monitoring plan receive the following coverage:

  • Manufacturer warranty only, per manufacturer terms

  • ReconX Pro installation warranty for a period of six (6) months from the date of installation

After the six-month installation warranty period, any service, repair, or replacement work will be billable unless otherwise covered by the manufacturer.

5. Exclusions and Limitations

ReconX Pro’s warranties do not cover issues caused by:

  • Power outages, surges, or electrical irregularities

  • Network or internet failures

  • Environmental conditions (weather, lighting changes, physical obstructions)

  • Damage, tampering, or misuse by the client or third parties

  • Modifications, repairs, or relocations performed by anyone other than ReconX Pro

  • Normal wear and tear

Warranty coverage applies only to issues directly attributable to ReconX Pro’s installation or covered equipment failures.

6. Service Requests and Evaluation

All warranty service requests are subject to evaluation by ReconX Pro to determine:

  • Whether the issue is covered under manufacturer warranty

  • Whether the issue is covered under ReconX Pro’s installation warranty

  • Whether the issue falls outside warranty coverage and requires billable service

ReconX Pro reserves the right to inspect systems before approving warranty service.

7. Termination of Warranty Coverage

Warranty and service coverage may be voided if:

  • Equipment is altered or serviced by unauthorized parties

  • The system is not maintained in accordance with manufacturer guidelines

  • Monthly monitoring plans lapse or are canceled (for extended coverage)

8. No Guarantee of Performance

Warranty and service coverage relate only to equipment functionality and installation workmanship. ReconX Pro does not guarantee security outcomes, prevention of incidents, or uninterrupted system operation.

9. Acceptance of Policy

By engaging ReconX Pro for installation, monitoring, or service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted this Warranty & Service Coverage Policy.
